OUR STORY

Jonathan Chardon brings a wealth of culinary expertise, boasting over 18 years of experience in the industry. Hailing from Puerto Rico, his journey led him to Boston, Massachusetts in November 2017, driven by the aftermath of Hurricane Maria's devastation. Witnessing the widespread suffering and disruption caused by the storm's aftermath, including prolonged blackouts and business closures, Jonathan made the courageous decision to seek new opportunities in Boston.

Upon his arrival, Jonathan wasted no time in immersing himself in the culinary scene, securing positions such as Sous Chef at the Revere Hotel, followed by prestigious roles as Executive Sous Chef at Hilton Boston Dedham and later as Executive Chef at Hilton Garden Inn, Boston Marlborough. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 abruptly altered his trajectory, leading to unexpected challenges and eventual layoff.

Undeterred by adversity, Jonathan embraced entrepreneurship as a means of navigating uncertain times. Drawing inspiration from his fondness for potatoes, particularly the comforting allure of baked potatoes, Jonathan envisioned a venture that would not only cater to his community's culinary cravings but also provide solace during tumultuous times. While baked potatoes hold a storied history, particularly as a beloved street food in the UK, Jonathan saw an opportunity to introduce this cherished dish to a wider audience, transcending cultural boundaries with his passion and expertise.

For Jonathan, cooking is a profound journey—one that transcends mere sustenance, weaving together elements of tradition, innovation, and resilience. Thus, Chardon's Jacket Potato emerged as a beacon of hope and resilience, offering his community a taste of comfort and familiarity amidst adversity.

Chardon's Jacket Potato isn't just a food trailer—it's a testament to the indomitable spirit of entrepreneurship and community resilience. As our neighborhoods navigate through uncertain times, we urge you to support local establishments like ours, which serve as vital pillars of strength and solidarity within our communities.
